Dani Pedrosa will return to racing this weekend as the MotoGP season continues in Portugal. During the month-long break since Jerez, the Spaniard has undergone more surgery after continuing to suffer pain following his Motegi crash of last year.
“I did what I had to do in these three weeks off and I look forward to get back on the bike after this period which has been good for me to undergo surgery and start rehabilitation,” the Honda rider said on Tuesday.

Rossi hoping for dry Portuguese race.“Now we go to Estoril, a track I quite like, where we’ll continue working on the GP11’s setup, particularly during the test on Monday,” the Italian began.
"Anyway, although we saw at Jerez that we’re already competitive in the wet, we’re hoping for sun in Portugal so that we can make the most of our time on the track."

“I know I will have the chance to make up for it though because I know I am fast and have a good feeling with a competitive bike” - Marco Simoncelli.“I was having a great race and the crash obviously wasn't what I wanted, it was a real shame."

“In Estoril I got my first victory in the MotoGP class in 2008 which I repeated over the last two seasons. The track has turned into a talisman for me and it is the place where the astronaut always comes back," he added, referring to his special livery.
Lorenzo is rumoured to be getting a new M1 engine to try in the post-race test on Monday, having complained of a power deficit since winter testing.
