Checa becomes top target at Assen."We're not racing for charity, the level of competition is high and tensions can explode. Sometimes things happen out there that can overflow off the track. It's a consequence of our rivalry and the desire to be in the lead and win. We've spoken a lot about Marco and Max but even in the MotoGP race at Jerez a few days later there was tension between Rossi and Stoner..."

Rea accepts Assen challenge at the double. "Assen is my team's home race and I always look forward to racing there,” said Rea."We also had the Ten Kate Pit Stop Day last Saturday, which was a great opportunity to meet the fans at the workshop in Nieuwleusen."

Robbin Harms says: "Assen is a really great circuit and it reminds me of old style tracks. I have been there several years in a row so I have good experience of it. The feeling for Assen is not much different than for PI or Donington and I like all the tracks we race at. For me I will be treating it like it is a new track on the calendar. We are analysing the data to take the good things from the bike set-up at Donington with us to Assen."
